Death of Giants, the new melancholic doom metal project by Morten Søbyskogen, will release their debut album “Ventesorg” 12th May, and together with Rock In, are excited to invite you all to a special release concert at Rockin saturday 20th May.
This release concert will also be a memorial concert for Mortens wife, Sandra. 20th May is a special date, as it was on this day in 2018 Sandra passed away,31 years old, after living with brain cancer for 3.5 years. Ventesorg is an album about this journey, living with anticipatory grief and following your loved one from diagnosis to their passing.
For this special occasion Death of Giants will play a set consisting of the the songs from “Ventesorg” mixed in with additional cover songs fitting the theme and concept.
We hope you will take part in this experience with us, regardless if you knew Sandra or not, all are welcome to join us for an evening with dark melancholic doom metal. The album, available as digipack and cassette will be possible to buy at the concert, along with merch. A part of the sales will also be donated to the brain cancer foundation, as Sandra would have wanted.
